Who We Are & What We Do

BSA Constitution

The BSA is a group of students working together to plan events that give business students the opportunity to network with each other, as well as with business people. Some of the social events we have planned are the Annual Hallowe’en Party, which is sold out every year, and the VILC. The BSA puts on a ton of fun events, but its main focus is on professional development.

The major event the BSA is hosting this semester is the leadership conference, also known as the VILC.

Both the BSA and VILC offer students the chance to network and connect with other students, major sponsors, potential employers, and other influential people they may encounter later.  Being involved with the BSA or the conference, either by attending or helping out, will definitely attract employers’ attention.  The BSA is the first to know about job opportunities and events that are available, so as a member you will get the heads up on everything that is going on.  Also, as a member, ticket prices to most of our events will be available at a discount, so you will essentially end up saving more than you spend to join.

The BSA meets every Thursday at 11:30am in Building 250, Room 215.  If you are unable to make the meetings, you can still become a member and will find opportunities to become involved by reading the minutes.  Membership to the BSA is $5 and new members are always welcome!  Sign up with Emily anytime, or join through the website, www.viubsa.ca/GettingInvolved.htm.
